What will you hear when you listen to me? Well, I’m a bit of a mongrel really!! Here’s why- I was born in Surrey, however until the age of 9 I lived in North Wales (spoke fluent Welsh) when my parents decided to emigrate to the US into the Deep South, Nashville Tennessee (no Welsh speakers here, in fact, English was a challenge).
It was an interesting upbringing with many tales to tell. After High School, I pursued a career in broadcasting, spent one year in Broadcasting College, and 6 months on local radio, when I got the calling to travel. And I’ve never really looked back. I moved back to the UK in my early 20’s and have spent the last 30 years working in travel from a Holiday Rep/Hotel Entertainer to Tour Guide, from travel promotions to travel marketing, from Thailand to Barbados, I’ve done and seen a lot of things and it been a blast, suddenly halted in dramatic fashion by a little bug called 19! So it’s a great opportunity for me to dust off my headphones and mic and give broadcasting another go 37 years later.
The technology is very different, not a record in sight but I’m excited to be a part of the charitable radio team supporting great causes and presenting Andy’s Feel Good Saturday.
